About BMe Community
The country we are trying to build does not get built by accident. It gets built by people who decide to define their neighbors generously, on purpose, every day.
-
How you define people determines how you treat them.
Thirteen years ago, BMe Community was founded on a belief that felt radical to some and obvious to those of us who had lived it: that Black men and boys deserve to be seen and celebrated for their assets, contributions, and aspirations — not despite their circumstances, but because of their humanity.
That belief became Asset-Framing® — a framework for defining individuals and communities by their strengths, capabilities, and aspirations before addressing the challenges they face. It started as a way to change how the world saw Black men and boys. It has since reshaped how foundations invest, how corporations communicate, and how leaders across the social sector tell their stories.
-
Philanthropy is operating in one of the most polarized, rapidly changing environments in modern history. The funders who are winning right now are not the ones reacting fastest. They are the ones with a narrative strategy grounded in their values, a network of trusted peers who back their plays, and a framework that makes their work legible to the communities and institutions that matter most.
Our national network connects you to the most influential leaders in social progress. Our invitation-only convenings put you in rooms that change the trajectory of your work. Our trainings teach proven frameworks that increase your impact.
And our strategic partnerships are designed to align your narrative and build mutually beneficial relationships so that your investments move the way you intend them to. -
The leaders who win in a rapidly changing, polarized world are not the ones with the most resources. They are the ones with the right narrative, the right relationships, and a community that backs their plays.
That is what BMe now offers as a service - brand strategy, leadership convenings, summit partnerships, and training bootcamps — all built on thirteen years of proof.
-
We work with foundation CEOs and presidents, heads of philanthropy at major corporations, executive directors, and vice presidents of programs, strategy, and corporate social impact - leaders who are doing meaningful work in social progress and want the network, the tools, and the community to do it more effectively.
We work with a select group of partners each year. If you are ready to define your community by what they are capable of and build the relationships and strategy that follows you belong here too.

Meet the team behind BMe.
BMe's team is small by design and effective by intention. Every person on staff was chosen because they bring the kind of expertise that compounds and lead with the same Asset-Framing® lens we ask of everyone in this community.

BMe Board Members.
BMe's board brings together leaders from philanthropy, business, community development, and the social sector who share a belief that the organizations closest to the work are closest to the solutions. They provide strategic oversight, open doors, and hold BMe accountable to the same standard we hold everyone else to, lead with assets, back leaders who are changing history, and measure what matters.
