RETREATS

Prudential partnered with BMe to coordinate a Smart Optimist Retreat for 15 Newark nonprofit leaders to create a community of practice for those committed to social change and to each other. The goal of this retreat was to create a rock-solid foundation for future collaborations through asset-framing training, mutual care sessions, excursions, and time to bond and share ideas.

ENGAGEMENT

After a successful Newark Leadership Smart Optimist Retreat, Prudential continued their partnership with BMe to further engage their newly bonded Newark leaders. These members will receive educational webinars, regular communication to keep them informed, support connecting with each other via a private networking app, quarterly check-ins, access to other members in BMe’s extensive network, and continuous encouragement to help each other maintain wellness goals.

SUMMITS

In 2024, McKnight, Blue Meridian, Othering & Belonging Institute, Gates, Solutions Journalism Network, Nellie Mae, New Commonwealth Fund, and others partnered with BMe to create the Next Narrative Summit to spread their strategies and programs to top CEOs, directors, and vice presidents of major philanthropies and their communication partners. jjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjj

TRAINING

The Nellie Mae Education Foundation and New Common Wealth Fund partnered with BMe to create a two day Next Narrative Bootcamp for education justice advocates, CEOs, organizers, aligned funders, and policymakers to learn how to apply Asset-Framing to narrative power strategies to build will and demand for just and equitable student outcomes across New England.
